Steven George Jones is a Newport-based sound artist, composer and improviser. His work utilises a lo-fi aesthetic and DIY sensibility in combining field recordings, found sound and sonic manipulation to produce audio collages with emphases on texture, dissonance and repetition.

He is the founding member of Newport art collective BOSCH, whose sound work is steeped in collaboration and improvisation. He is a core member of free-improvisation troupe Abstract Baking Collective. He enjoys collaboration with visual artists and has produced sound pieces in support of exhibitions, performance and film with a number of artists and filmmakers.

His work has been broadcast by Radiophrenia, Glasgow, Borealis Festival, Bergen, Norway, Resonance FM, London and Wave Farm WGXC, New York.
