Tredegar Town Band were runners up to winners Brighouse and Rastrick at the 2022 Brass in Concert Championship on Saturday 19 November. Cory came third out the 12 bands competing in this year's event which was held at The Sage, Gateshead.
Tredegar also won awards for 'Quality of Performance' and best baritone (Ben Stratford) while Cory won 'Best Entertainment & Presentation', 'Audience Entertainment Prize', the 'Harry Mortimer Best Principal Cornet Award' (Tom Hutchinson) and the 'The Fesa Trophy for Best Flugel Award' (Helen Williams).
