The Trust awards Study Abroad Studentships to support an extended period of advanced study or research at a centre of learning overseas (except the USA). Approximately 25 Studentships are offered annually. Applicants must have been resident in the UK for at least three years at the time of application, hold an undergraduate degree, and a degree from a UK institution (this can be their undergraduate degree or a postgraduate degree). Applicants must either be a student at the time of application or have been registered as a student within the last eight years and must demonstrate why their work should be conducted by residence overseas rather than in the UK. Awards are tenable for between 12 and 24 months and must be started between 1 June and the following 1 May.
