Freya Dooley has been appointed as Tŷ Cerdd's Artist Development Manager, a role which will see her connect directly with artists and shape the work of our regularly-funded organisation as well as to play an active role in the broader Welsh music sector.
She will drive the development of CoDI, Tŷ Cerdd’s artist-development programme, and take oversight and responsibility for ensuring its delivery, in collaboration with team members, artists and partners.
Freya is an award-winning artist and sound designer whose practice encompasses sound, writing, moving-image and performance. Often rooted in close-range observations and informed by diverse cinematic, literary and musical references, her work comprises semi-fictional narratives and layered soundtracks which expand outwards in scale, weaving together voice, electronics and instrumentation.
