Inclusive Orchestration
Cân y Coed Quintet - Part 4 of 4
This is the final blog sharing the journey of my professional development in the hope that it may help others who, like me, need to explore innovative solutions when facing challenges within their creative practice.
Gosh, what a journey this process of professional development has been! That's the thing about having the space to explore and grow, you never quite know where it is going to take you.
Last night, we had our final Inclusive Orchestration Quintet session, making our way through the blustering wind and rain to People Speak Up who very kindly supported my Arts Council of Wales Creative Steps research with the inkind provision of their beautiful chapel venue, the staff to manage the space for us and even refreshments.
First, it is important to say that I've learnt exactly what I thought I would, how to completely nurture my hearing loss, tinnitus and hyperacusis in the orchestration and arrangement of my compositions, but it is how that has permeated into all aspects of my creative practice that has been the surprise.
Offeryniaeth Gynhwysol
Pumawd Cân y Coed - Rhan 4 o 4
Wel, mae'r broses hon o ddatblygiad proffesiynol wedi bod yn dipyn o daith! Dyna be' sy'n digwydd pan gewch le i archwilio a thyfu, dydych chi fyth yn gwbl sicr i ble bydd hyn yn eich arwain.
Neithiwr, cawsom ein sesiwn olaf gyda'r Pumawd Offeryniaeth Gynhwysol, gan deithio drwy'r gwynt a'r glaw stormus i People Speak Up sydd wedi bod mor garedig a chefnogi fy ymchwil Camau Creadigol gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru drwy ddarparu eu capel hardd er ein defnydd, ynghyd â staff i drefnu'r lle i ni ‒ a hyd yn oed lluniaeth.
Yn gyntaf, mae'n bwysig dweud fy mod wedi dysgu'r union beth roeddwn yn ei ddisgwyl, sut i feithrin colli fy nghlyw, tinitws a hyperacusis yn llwyr wrth sgorio a threfnu fy nghyfansoddiadau, ond y syndod yw sut mae hynny wedi treiddio i bob agwedd ar fy ymarfer creadigol.
