Lisa Mears is a composer and musician from Swansea who gained a BA (Hons) Music degree at Bristol University and M.Mus degree in composition from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama / University of Wales. Her works have been widely performed by musicians and ensembles including former royal harpist Hannah Stone, soloists from Welsh National Opera, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the BSO Kokoro Ensemble. Lisa has received prizes for her compositions in several competitions around the UK. Some of Lisa’s works are published by Concert A Publishing and Canasg and Lisa was selected for professional development representation at Noel Music Management, London, in 2016.

 

Lisa is currently working on a new CD of piano music and is also very active as an accompanist, regularly performing with professional and student singers and instrumentalists in concerts, recitals and examinations and with the Ariosa Singers and Mumbles Voices Community Choir.
