Mae Edward-Rhys Harry yn gweithio ar draws y DU ac yn rhyngwladol fel hyfforddwr llais, beirniad, cyfansoddwr, trefnwrydd ac arweinydd corawl. Canu a pherfformio gorawl yw ei angerdd. Astudiodd am ei radd Baglor mewn Cerddoriaeth ym Mhrifysgol Bangor, Gogledd Cymru, yna am radd Meistr mewn Cyfansoddiad â Francis Pott ym Mhrifysgol Gorllewin Llundain (Coleg Cerdd Llundain), ac yna gradd Meistr mewn Arwain Corawl gyda Simon Halsey, Adrian Partington (a thiwtoriaiad gan Eric Whitacre, John Butt, Neil Ferris, David Lawrence, ymhlith eraill) yng Ngholeg Brenhinol Cerdd a Drama Cymru. Ar hyn o bryd mae'n astudio PhD mewn Cyfansoddi (cerddoriaeth corawl) ym Mhrifysgol Aberdeen gyda Paul Mealor a Phillip Cooke (mentora gan Judith Bingham, Morten Lauridsen, James Jordan a James MacMillan, ymysg eraill).
Cyhoeddir ei gyfansoddiadau gan Boosey a Hawkes, Banks Music Publications, Curiad Cyf. (yng Nghymru) a Chichester Music Press. Bydd recordiadau newydd o'i gerddoriaeth offerynnol a lleisiol, a gynhyrchwyd gan Ty Cerdd ar gael cyn bo hir.
Edward-Rhys Harry works across the UK and internationally as a voice coach, adjudicator, composer, arranger and choral conductor. Choral singing and performance is his passion. He studied for his Bachelor degree in music at the University of Bangor, North Wales, then for a Masters’ degree in composition with Francis Pott at University of West London (London College of Music), followed by a Masters’ degree in Choral Conducting with Simon Halsey, Adrian Partington (and tutored by Eric Whitacre, John Butt, Neil Ferris, David Lawrence, Morten Lauridsen, amongst others) at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He is currently studying for a PhD in Composition (choral music) at the University of Aberdeen with Paul Mealor and Phillip Cooke (mentored by Judith Bingham, Morten Lauridsen, James Jordan and James MacMillan, amongst others).
His compositions are published by Boosey and Hawkes, Banks Music Publications, Curiad Cyf. (in Wales) and Chichester Music Press. New recordings of his instrumental and vocal music, produced by Ty Cerdd will be available shortly.
