CoDI one2one is Tŷ Cerdd and BBC National Orchestra of Wales’s opportunity for composers, in response to the current UK lockdown around the Coronavirus pandemic.

Following an open call, 10 composers facing lockdown in Wales were selected to write a 1-to-2-minute piece for a solo orchestral instrument – and offered a commission fee of £100. Each composer was paired with a member of BBC National Orchestra of Wales, who recorded the new work in their own home.

CoDI is Tŷ Cerdd’s composer development initiative, and Tŷ Cerdd  offered support and mentoring to artists during the composition process. All artists will receive a recording of the resulting work, and Tŷ Cerdd has offered to publish the work on the Tŷ Cerdd Publications imprint.
