Guarantee against loss (E1) - The guarantee against loss is offered toward performances that would be artistically impossible without professional input, whether through the engaging of soloists, accompanying forces (whether full orchestra or other instrumental ensemble), or the professional stiffening of weaker sections of the promoting society.
Once the level of guarantee has been agreed, a letter of offer is sent to the society as soon as possible, advising the society of the maximum financial contribution Tŷ Cerdd has earmarked for the performance under guarantee. Letters of offer should be formally accepted within four weeks. A claim form (R1) accompanies each offer, together with a form on which should be detailed the accompanying musicians (R1(AM)), and a Society Performance Report (SPR); all these need to be returned no later than four weeks after the performance has taken place.
