Brass & Wind Bands

Brass and wind bands are able to take advantage of a scheme that involves part grant and part interest-free loan toward the provision of instruments. Applications are invited at the end of each calendar year (Form E4) for provision of instruments in the new financial year.

Claims are invited at the end of each calendar year (Form R4(R)) detailing instrument repairs undertaken during the previous twelve months, and a grant may then be made based upon a percentage of the costs involved.

At the end of each calendar year, Tŷ Cerdd invites choirs and instrumental groups to submit details of the music purchases made during the previous twelve months (Form R2-currently under review). A grant may then be made based upon an agreed percentage of the cost of the music purchased. The aim of this form of assistance is to encourage the performance of new repertoire. The cost of single copies is not normally considered, as this may imply that photocopying is taking place.
